Map both ends before building anything: what the source sends, what the destination expects, and how each side authenticates.
Omegamid · by OutOfBoxIdeas
Omegamid sits between your platforms and handles every exchange between them: translating data formats, resolving identity mismatches, enforcing business rules, and logging every transaction.
It replaces fragile, one-off integration code with hardened, documented, repeatable infrastructure. Not a low-code automation toy, and not an enterprise iPaaS that needs its own department to run.
The problem
Custom code breaks when either connected system updates its API.
Shared-infrastructure tools create compliance and data-residency risk.
Off-the-shelf connectors can't handle specific business logic or legacy protocols.
When the developer who built it leaves, the integration becomes a black box.
How it works
Most integration failures trace back to shape or identity being handled informally. Omegamid makes both explicit gates before any translation logic runs.
01
Map both ends before building anything: what the source sends, what the destination expects, and how each side authenticates.
02
Normalize dates, names, identifiers, and nested records into one canonical form. If the shapes cannot be made compatible, the integration does not proceed.
03
An explicit identity contract links the record in System A to the same record in System B, so nothing duplicates, drifts, or goes unmatched.
04
Field mappings, computed values, and conditional rules, all explicit and documented. No hidden logic.
05
Authentication, access control, rate limits, timeouts, and retries. Defined behavior for when something goes wrong.
06
Every request and response logged with full payloads. Any transaction can be replayed exactly as it happened.
07
When systems run on different timelines, Omegamid holds the state, or serves it back through a hosted lookup endpoint.
In production
The zoo issues member and guest credentials through Tessitura as 20-digit barcodes. Its TIBA parking equipment had no way to recognize them.
Omegamid receives credential records from Tessitura, stores them under an identity contract with their active dates and add/remove status, and answers the gate's lookup in real time when a credential is scanned. Tessitura's issuance and TIBA's gate hardware stayed exactly as they were.
Every lookup is logged and replayable, so a question at the gate becomes a lookup in the log, not a guessing game.
Also live: Virginia Hospital Center.
Capabilities
REST, SOAP, XML, GraphQL, CSV, and webhooks. No third-party adapters.
Configure complex translations in a structured interface instead of writing glue code.
Chain actions into one flow with conditional logic, retry handling, and failure routing.
Full request and response detail for every transaction, replayable on demand.
Single-tenant: in your cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), on-premises, or air-gapped.
TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, PII redaction. SOC 2-aligned controls; formal certification not yet completed.
Comparison
| Custom middleware | Omegamid | |
|---|---|---|
| Time to deploy | Weeks to months of development | Days to configure and go live |
| When an API changes | Integration breaks; rebuild required | Update the mapping only |
| Debugging | Hard to reproduce; logs often missing | Replay any transaction on demand |
| Audit trail | Depends on who built it | Built into every transaction |
| Key-person risk | Integration dies when that person leaves | Documented, reproducible, platform-owned |
Fit
Honest about it
If an integration failing would cost you little, a lighter tool is probably fine. If it means lost revenue, compliance risk, or a gate that won't open, that's what Omegamid is for.
